We are looking for a Senior Web Application Developer (Software Engineer) to be responsible for the developing architectures, design, development, maintenance, support, secure coding practices, and enhancement of Mind Over Machine’s custom applications under the direction of the Director of Commercial Solutions.

 

Responsibilities:   

• Development  and maintenance of custom software applications
• Follow appropriate coding practice methodologies, troubleshoot software errors and modify existing code
• Work with project managers to understand and develop project and business priorities
• Assist with the development of project plans and resource allocation
• Stay current on new developments in application coding, secure coding practices and techniques in software architecture and application development
• Mentor junior developers
• Produce technical documentation
• Perform other related duties as required

 Skills/Experience Needed:

• Expert in web application development using ASP.Net, C# and SQL Server
• Extensive experience with relational databases, software configuration, unit testing and refactoring experience with Visual Studio, Visual SourceSafe and the .Net Framework
• Knowledgeable of Systems Development Life Cycle Methodologies, quality assurance and testing, requirements gathering, and systems analysis and design
• Working knowledge of software architecture design, Object-oriented analysis and design patterns
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Must be creative thinker
• Experience with writing SQL Server stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
• Experience in configuring Internet Information Services (IIS)
• Experience in web site development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Must be experienced at implementing clean user interfaces and knowledgeable of website design best practices
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of developers and testers
• Ability to work within a team or individually
• Ability to work and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be self-motivated
• Minimum 5 years professional experience designing and developing applications and designing complex multi-tiered applications

Desired Skills:

• Web Services,  XML, SharePoint, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft Content Management Server
