Our client is a recognized leader in a very small niche in the Commercial Property & Casualty insurance industry. The company possesses a long history of underwriting, coverage enhancements and pricing to compete successfully in this niche. Our search is for a Claims Examiner in the California region to handle claims that consist of Products Liability, Litigation and Property. The territory will consist of Northern California, Washington State and Oregon. RESPONSIBILITES: Investigate and settle high volume complex product liability, litigation claims to include manufacturing defect, design defect and failure to warn. Coverage evaluation Liability and damage evaluation Direct and control of defense attorneys Litigation budget Attend mediations, trials and settlement conferences Excess limits policies REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years in Commercial Property/Casualty claims handling College degree preferred Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities COMPENSATION: The ability to work from home Very competitive base salary, an exciting bonus program and all benefits
