About the Job:
The Annapolis Capital is looking for freelance writers, primarily, to help out on the sports desk. We cover 20 high schools and more than 100 teams during each scholastic season, and we take great pride in our expansive coverage. While we cover several games a week, most of the work happens inside the office. Our high school deskers collect information from coaches for up to 30 games a night, and we'd like to add a couple bodies into the mix.
Shifts, which range between three and five hours, are available Mondays through Saturdays most weeks during the school year, and scheduling is very flexible; though the more accommodating you are, the more work you'll receive. The workload varies by the night, but you'll be paid $45 per shift, regardless. There are opportunities to cover games, which bank $60, but nothing is promised.
